The loved ones of teens unaccounted for after a tragic fire at a bar in a Switzerland's ski resort are facing an painful wait for answers and appealing for clues about their children via social media.

The blaze devastated the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Alps of the Valais region, in the small hours of January 1st. Circulated footage show the ceiling being engulfed in flames as beverages with fireworks are held aloft.

Emergency services have stated that it could take considerable time to identify the those who perished of the tragedy, which resulted in the death of 40 people and wounded another scores more. A spokesperson stated on the latest update that 113 of the those hurt have been identified, with efforts continuing to identify the other six.

In the interim, families and friends have been taking to online platforms to plead for any news about their friends who were present at the venue that fateful night.

Appeals for the Unaccounted For

The whereabouts of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, a teenager, are currently unknown, according to an appeal from his mother.

The resident of a town near the city, informed a local newspaper that she had gone back to the city to see if he was in the hospital, while his other parent did the equivalent search in Bern, but did not locate him.

"It feels like a terrible dream, an ordeal. The options are finding my son in the morgue, or I find him in intensive care. It's terrible," she said.

She explained that some of his friends had been found with injuries covering nearly half their bodies. "It's indescribable; they experienced hell."

The Italy's government has confirmed that six of its nationals are still unaccounted for.

One of those is Emanuele Galeppini, a teenage sportsman, who hailed from Genoa but now residing in the UAE.

The national sporting body has released a tribute that he is dead, without mentioning the tragedy, honoring a "talented young man who embodied dedication and true sportsmanship."

His father, told media that his son was at the bar and was last in contact around midnight. An representative has clarified that a formal confirmation of his death is awaited.

Other Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is also among the missing. His mother said that he had been on vacation but had ventured out with friends and ended up at the venue.

"A companion told me they ran away after the fire started and that he had his mobile with him, but then at a certain point he couldn't see him anymore," she explained, adding he had been wearing a distinctive gold chain.

One of his educators stated, "He was known for his kindness and smile, combined with great maturity. He would frequently offer to get me a coffee."

Alice Kallergis, who holds dual Greek and Swiss nationality but lives permanently in the country, was also at the bar on that night, according to sources.

Her sibling has posted an urgent request on social media, saying the relatives has had "no news" regarding the teenager or the three friends she was with, who are also reported missing.

Consular authorities from her country of origin say they are continuing to monitor the developments.
