Soccer Expert Chris Sutton Battles Artist Olly Murs in Premier League Predictions

Arsenal's 10-game winning streak was ended by Sunderland prior to the international break, but can the Premier League frontrunners bounce back against local foes Tottenham this weekend?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," remarked football specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."

The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this season, versus AI, fans and a variety of guests.

For week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

The singer's latest album, the new release, is available on Friday.

Football and Parenting Life

Murs is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of multiple Soccer Aid matches down the years - but he is not intending a professional comeback as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a charity match the other night for a friend of mine," he said. "The side was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I still love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my child or boy decides to play instead."

Murs and his spouse Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and their son, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their manager.

"I will not force football on our children but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be coaching their Saturday football team," he added.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a while too.

"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He coached our team for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Top Division Predictions

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their offense is now more potent with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this fixture will be quite tight, though. Burnley are disciplined and their only at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

This suggests a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

The singer's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their past two games - although both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, the Hammers won back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at home, they appear competitive again.

The Hammers' only away win this season came at Forest in August, when their boss Nuno Espirito Santo was previously that team's coach.

Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - can the Hammers continuing their run under Nuno, or Bournemouth bouncing back?

I am going to choose Bournemouth, because I think what happened against Villa was a blip.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

Olly's prediction: Bournemouth are performing strongly but the visitors have picked up under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were seen as one of the frontrunners for the drop before the campaign started, but they have impressed a few observers under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their last four games.

My son advised me to get Brentford striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

Thiago will probably score again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or support the away side at Amex Stadium.

They have not had much fortune on the travel this term, and Brighton are always strong at home. Brentford will attempt to attack on the break but I think the home manager's team carry much more of a danger.

Sutton's prediction: 2-1

The singer's prediction: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a many scores but it in reality proves to be quite tight. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge game for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their last six games.

Fulham have have lots of talent in their squad but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a relegation battle.

Regarding the Black Cats, indeed they are the surprise package of the Premier League season so far.

The away side's display in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not witnessed anyone else disrupt the North London side like that this season, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are clearly capable of roughing the hosts up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they defeated the Blues at the close of last month.

But I am not going to choose that. Instead, I truly need to continue going against Sunderland with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their positive results because they evidently enjoy to prove me wrong.

Looking at the home side's home record, the only side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be extremely desperate for a good outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

The guest's choice: I know Sunderland are doing well and also that Fulham are on a poor run... but they have still been decent at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a tough one to call. Liverpool have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in every tournament, but might they be one of the sides who benefit from the {international break|
