Nearly Ninety Flights Linked to Jeffrey Epstein Allegedly Landed at or Took Off from UK Airports
Analysis has identified that nearly 90 flights connected to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein reportedly touched down at and left UK airports, with some reportedly transporting women from the UK who allege they were abused by the convicted sex offender.
Aviation Records Uncover Trail of Travel
The travel manifests were among a trove of legal papers and papers made public by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have been disclosed over the past year. The analysis uncovered 87 flights linked to Epstein â featuring many that were previously unknown â arriving or departing from UK airports between the start of the 1990s and 2018.
Onboard Individuals and Post-Conviction Flights
Unnamed âfemalesâ were listed among the individuals flying to and from the UK. Notably, 15 of these British airport journeys took place following Epsteinâs 2008 conviction for soliciting sex from a underage person.
âThis is âappallingâ that there had never been a âcomprehensive British inquiryâ into his dealings in the country,â remarked American attorneys acting for numerous Epstein survivors.
UK Survivors and Court Cases
A statement from one of the UK-based survivors was instrumental in convicting Epsteinâs associate Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking of minors in the US in 2021. However, that victim has not been approached by British law enforcement, according to her Florida-based lawyer.
In a statement, the London's Metropolitan Police said they had ânot been provided with any new information that would support reopening the inquiry.â They noted, âIf new and relevant evidence be brought to our attention, including any arising from the release of material in the US, we will evaluate it.â
Ongoing Disclosure and Legal Rulings
Proposed legislation to release every document held by the American government in regarding Epstein passed the US Congress last month. The US justice department has until 19 December to follow through. Hundreds of thousands of papers are expected to be released.
Additionally, a US judge decided last week that the DOJ could publicly release evidence from a trafficking prosecution against Maxwell, Epsteinâs longtime confidante, who is serving a 20-year jail term over the allegations.
