Brian Eno Calls On Backing to Get Together for Palestine Track to UK Holiday Chart Peak.

A charity drive is aiming to launch a cultural melody to the Christmas number one spot. The campaign seeks to send support to communities in Gaza while also highlighting Palestinian artistic heritage.

An Opportunity for Unity and an "Chart Upset"

Musician and artist Brian Eno, who performs on the track, stated that the song titled Lullaby represents a moment to support Palestinians this festive season. He remarked the potential for an unexpected chart success.

“It would be incredible if that occurred, yes,” he commented. “I’m not gonna be completely disheartened if it fails to, holiday tracks are a unique phenomenon.”

Resilient Spirit of Self-Determination

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who performs on the reimagining of a folk song called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the piece's resilient spirit.

“It occupies a deeply meaningful spot for many individuals,” Barghouti shared. “The message is that I would prefer a dignified death than spend my life without freedom. That is the core idea of the song; we desire to exist a respectful existence that we deserve as Palestinians.”

Recording Origins and Featured Artists

The single was laid down after a solidarity show held in late summer. Initially planned to be done as a live recording, the rendition was omitted from the lengthy event due to time constraints.

The impressive roster of artists contributing to Lullaby features a range of acclaimed names from the scene. All were part of the earlier concert, which successfully generated a considerable total for relief efforts.

Creation and Launch

Lullaby was brought to life by a trio of producers and composers. The song blends a combination of the traditional Arabic lyrics with freshly written English words.

The team running the campaign have emphasized that their objective is to raise as much as possible for a dedicated fund. These resources will be channeled to Palestinian causes through an partnering humanitarian organization.

“We don’t have a specific target,” a representative commented. “We will pursue the maximum achievable. Obviously, the greater the amount, the better. Every penny goes out to those in need in Gaza.”

The context in the territory was described as its profound destruction, with a vast majority of infrastructure described as in ruins or severely impacted.

“Against that backdrop, a couple of million is unlikely to make that much difference. But I think what does make a difference is above all spreading knowledge of this plight and showing there’s another side to the story.”

The single 'Lullaby' is scheduled for release this Friday. Additionally, a complete film of the solidarity show will be made accessible to view on a digital service from mid-December.
